Having settled in Milan, she is now working as a freelance furniture and product designer with commissions from a number of high-profile international clients. The Cumulus modular seating system launched in 2015 and typifies Okamoto’s characteristically playful approach to furniture design. CUMULUS is the winner of the German Design Award International jury of brand and design experts has selected this model for the Excellent Product Design award in the Office Furniture category. Statement of the jury With its high back, this chair provides outstanding privacy and comfort for reclining. The product minimizes sounds coming from outside, and also muffles the sounds emitted from the chair itself. Description A place for retreat in an office, study space, library or lobby. Convex backrests, an optional swivel table and a built-in charging spot allow the creation of a comfortable area for work or a break. You can choose from three backrest heights that correspond to different levels of privacy. Individual segments of CUMULUS can be arranged in groups to form relaxation or focus zones in public spaces. All variations of this model have two-color cover options.
